Default key programming

Have just changed the battery in one of my keys now it doesn,t operate my central locking anymore ,can someone please tell me how to recode them . 2004 wrx

I don't think you can re-program yourself
You need to pay the dealer for it.
NOT cheap

shouldnt make any difference just changing the batteries. Check the connections ar good and the battery(ies) are in the right way round

Don't need a new key
Just need 2 program the key from the dealer
For new key and program its gona cost £165
YEP! £165

I'm sure its the same concept as the sigma fobs on older models, just built into the key. If so, you can recode yourself.
Do you have an alarm keypad? I think its around the drivers side area on a newage.

wanna come to ireland mate!!!!
cost me near 400 euro for one new key,the mod kit and an hours labour to program!!!

Yeah have the key pad please tell me you can code it yourself . money a bit tight at this time of year.

I think the other replies on here are talking about programming the key transponder to the immobiliser, not the central locking.

Anyway, providing you either know the keypad password or, have another working key, you can do this:
