crank oil seal

Both seals should sit a couple of mm below the housing face - if there is a mark/groove on the crank from the old lip seal, you can knock the seal in a little further so the new seal does not run on the mark/groove.
A light smear of grease on the lip of the seal prior to fitting will prevent friction burn on initial start up of the engine.
