Default crank oil seal

rear crank oil seal, does this it flush to the block, or hit all the why back into block?

also front oil seal in pump. flush 2 pump or hit bk, i had a slight gap when flush

Both seals should sit a couple of mm below the housing face - if there is a mark/groove on the crank from the old lip seal,you can knock the seal in a little further so the new seal does not run on the mark/groove.
A light smear of grease on the lip of the seal prior to fitting will prevent friction burn on initial start up of the engine.

i recently replaced the rear crank seal on mine but now its leaking again. if you pre oiled it with gearbox oil would that ruin it ?
