Default Remap after changing head gasket?

Head gasket gone. Do I need to remap car after instaling new one (cometic) and ARPs? Thanks! Car is MY06 STI Ecutek remaped with turbo back exhaust.

Only if you alter the headgasket thickness and therefore compression

If the new gasket is thinner the burn time of the charge will be quicker due to the increased compression.
Therefore the ignition advance may now be wrong and it may det.
If the gasket is thicker then the charge will burn slow due to lower compression so it will be safe but down on power.

This...

Seen first hand differences in head gasket change done by a dealer...One had to assume that as above, gaskets were thinner or they skimmed the head.
