Default Hayward and Scott Centre pipe for a 04 Sti - Now fitted!!

I'm going to buy a H&S Centre pipe for my 04 Sti. After reading some posts, I found that Scoobyworld's H&S pipe had fitting issues a while back. Has anyone bought one of these recently and did it fit?

Cheers, Rich.

I had H&S on my hawkeye and it knocked against the propshaft centre bearing bracket, scoobyworld swapped it for the ninja one, which was fine.

I have an afterburner on mine and it's fine so that may be an option for you. Went on the standard back box and now a Group N one from TSL.

Afterburner is made by H&S and are exactly the same.

Excellent well mine's been no problem at all and certainly helped free up some revs over the stock piping.

we 'encouraged' H&S to re-engineer their centre section a while back, no problems reported since

Neil, thats good to hear. After reading a few 'horror' stories I was worried about purchasing the scoobyworld pipe (even though H&S make it!). I'll be ordering the center pipe tomorrow, shortly followed by the sports cat in the new year

I thought the PPP removed the centre silencer anyway. If so then there's no need for a replacement centre pipe.

My Afterburner centre used to knock the chassis with all Backboxes other than the Vortex. Neil arranged for it to be sorted recently and now its sits spot on !

I seem to have a rather large silencer after the sports cat though?

The standard system has 2 cats, a cabin silencer and the backbox. Not sure about the PPP setup.

I thought I'd follow the post up to let others know. Ordered the pipe from Scoobyworld and it arrived next day for no extra charge. took the old pipe off and compared it with the new pipe and all the holes / brackets lined up perfectly. All in all it took me 20mins to swap the pipe over with no major drama's. First impressions are that the pipe doesn't add that much more noise to the exhaust system externally, you tend to hear it more inside the cabin. The engine does seem to rev more freely which is strange as the 2 standard CAT's are still in place. I have recorded the exhaust note and will post links once they are on youtube.

Next step will be the sports CAT.

Nope, just a straight piece of pipe. £93 seemed alot for what it is, but you get what you pay for and this fitted with no hassle.

It's the Ninja centre that has the resonator also available from scoobyworld.
