Whats the symptons if oil control rings gone or if turbo seals knackered?

 

Blue smoke (oil being burnt by engine) out of the exhaust, I think.

To check turbo, take car on a run and get up to normal temps etc. Then return home, and leave to idle for 5 mins. Then get a mate to rev engine while you observe exhaust - blue or bluey-white smoke probably indicates turbo thrust bearing failing.
