Dual map - standard ecu?
Can you run a dual map on the standard ECU on my03 JDM sti? Wanting to run one map on E85 and one on V power only. Is this possible with the Standard ECU or reserved for aftermarket ECUs only?

Yes you can have dual maps on the OEM ECU. I'm not sure which dual maps you can run though.
Dual maps on early newages could only change boost so not much cop apart from having a low boost map as a "valet mode".
Much later cars could have 2 maps with differering boost / ignition / fuelling etc but I'm not sure about your 03 JDM.
Not much help at all....sorry

depends on which rom file it is on but it is actually switchable boost level, not switchable map..
therefore you could have say 1.3bar as vpower only and 1.5bar as e85 mix but you couldn't easily run straight e85 or straight vpower.
not without comprimising more than it would be worth doing.

Hi Simon
I thought the later Denso ECU's could run 2 full maps, switched via the ODB Port and not by the "heater switch - full throttle" toggle on the earlier newage ECU's
.
