got my scoob last week 96 wrx had it on a ramp today and noticed this





surely this isnt right ?? lamba welded to the outside of the exhaust ,make of exhaust unknown but only has a backbox, what problems will this cause dont want to do any damage

thats not the lambda, its something to do with the cat which only the imports have. its not needed what so ever so just unplug it and remove it

Yup, its the cat overtemp sensor. Looks like there has been an exhaust swap and it has been tack welded to the outside.
It can be disconnected without any problem.
I bet its so rusty that it won't work now.
