Hi,

I've seen these advertised at a good price but I'm wondering if they really offer enough of an improvement over stock to justify it. I've kinda ruled out the STI8 TMIC as it sounds like a total PITA to fit.

I'm looking for approx 330bhp from my MY00. Anyone running one of these or got any experience of them ?

Better off with a Hybrid, same sort of money to. Have a word with Harvey he'll sort you out with one.

LOL - I'm already in touch with Harvey

I'm not keen on the FMIC as I don't want to sacrifice spool up. Plus the consenus seems to be that a TMIC is good for up to 350.

There was a test in a jap mag a couple of years ago where they tested an OE TMIC and an aftermarket one. The aftermarket TMIC was less efficient than the OE Top mount.

i have a sti8 top mount fitted to my classic, good for up to 400 ish. i did'nt want to go down the front mount/aftermarket air filter route.
