Default Max boost for a 02 sti uk prodrive

Hi guys,

I own a 2002 wrx sti uk prodrive, i have a boost gauge and it maxed out at approx 16psi, i have just fitted an adjustable boost valveset to the first click,
i took it for a run and boy did it make a difference on just one click, but it did max to about 20+ psi.

so my question is what is the safest max psi i can run.
is my car fitted with boost cut out if it overboost.

i have turned the boost valve off for now until i have an answer.

thanks

shaun....

not advisable to manually adjust the boost, would be wiser to invest in a remap and do it properly mate.. otherwise your engine may not last too long !

as above they can run around the 20psi mark but only really with the fueling and timing altered to suit via a remap. I wouldnt just up the boost it may cause you a serious problem
