hi guys,

i have had quite a few imprezas over the last few years and currently have a 1997 type r which is currently having a full engine build after only 100 miles of buying it!

anyway i aquired a r reg uk turbo impreza to use whilst my other is off the road.its got an annoying fault,it will start and run fine for a while then will suddenly die and lose power/cut out.it will restart no probs but will either run fine or hold back.the engine man light doesnt come on-its really annoying!

ive noticed its had what i believe to be an import engine fitted-im thinking it may be the air flow meter,or that the wrong one may be fitted-does anyone know which colour,etc should be on a 1998 uk car?

in regards to the airflow meter,it should be purple coloured label
