Default HEAD CODES?

can anyone tell me codes for sti v4 heads?

just bought heads and need to know if they are real, if not will be sending them back

There's no way of telling from the codes. All EJ20 v4 heads show LH-B and RH-B to my knowledge as they are all identical, whether turbo, WRX or STi. The difference is in the valvetrain, which you need to take apart to tell. Genuine STI4 will have R4IN, R4EX, L4IN, L4EX and there will be a line cast through the number. WRX/turbo don't have the line. You can also measure the cam lobes etc to check lift.

The springs are marked with a whitey/brown blob at one end and the tappets have underbucket shims and retainers, 11mm diameter IIRC. If you have big 2p size shims which the cams run directly on, then they are WRX or turbo 2000 version 4 heads.
