Default lower boost on rolling road.

my01 wrx with full decat inc uppipe, uprated fuel pump, k&n panel filter and ecutek remap produced 284.9 bhp.
it was mapped on the rollers and then taken on to the road for final map tweaks.
car makes 17lb boost on my gauge
had a power run recently on same rollers only managed 258 bhp and 14.7 lb boost.
should there be 2lb boost loss from that seen on the road, i was told it was due to tweaking the last map on the road, as if it was left at 17lb on the rollers it would be 19 on the road which is too much for the td04.
i am a little confused has my car lost 30 bhp.
any suggestions please

Yes they often loose a little bit of boost when on the rollers due to the different loadings etc.

I think thats a hell of a bhp lose for 2psi though. Really it should have been rolling roaded after the map tweaks on the road to give a fair figure of what it was producing. Its like it was mapped to give the numbers and then taken out on the road and altered to make safe and ofcourse the numbers change.

I assume deta dash was used for the on road power, so it could have input errors, or the trans loss on the dyno could be wrong, you can't really compare the two!

it pulled 17lb on the rollers to give 285 bhp when first mapped, then took out on road and boost lowerd so it produced 17lb boost on the road, i am right to assume that if it is pulling 17lb boost on the road it will be same power as 17lb boost on the rollers. its just a bit of a shock to see such a loss and wondered if this is normal
