Default Running in route

Hi all.

I'll shortly be needing to do 1000miles to run a new engine in. I'd like to get this over with as soon as possible, but not be bored to death whilst chugging along at max 1bar/4k rpm, so was wondering if anyone knew a good 'round the country' drive, Maybe with a few laps to see things I missed the first few times around. I'll be starting in Northants.

So far the plan is 8x Warwick to High Wycombe and back on the M40

Cheers!

NO !

Don't sit at constant revs, just find a quiet loop of around 50 miles and keep using the gears and varying the revs, stay out of the boost and repeat don't sit at 70 mph on the motorway, please !

You are trying to bed the rings in to the bores, not glaze the bore up.

HTH

OK !

I just wanted to put 1000 miles on it in the shortest amount of time as I could.

How about between roundabouts 8 miles apart?

P.S. The ecu map will be limited to 1bar and 4k...

I did have a brief thought about the London end of the M1...

The fun comes -after- the 1000 miles
