Default Engine dimensions needed

Hello all,

My name is Phil Harris. I am a serial poster on Cliosport and S2forum (used to own both cars). I'm also an Automotive Eng student from Loughborough Uni and I require a bit of advice on engine dimensions...

Basically we are required to design an offroad military buggy for a project at Uni. To cut a long story short, we have decided to use the new Boxer diesel from Scoob (which is my area of repsonsibility in the team).

I am finding it increasingly difficult to find any salent information about this engine, other than an Autocar review which says the engine is very similar in weight and dimensions to the petrol equivalent.

Therefore, any dimensions/weight/ power/torque curves etc would be very helpful! Also, CAD diagrams would help A LOT!

If the engine is similar in weight and dimensions to the outgoing petrol 2.0T then could someone provide info about that too?

Any help is very much appreciated!

Cheers,

Phil

Why not contact the Subaru Press/PR department - they might give you what you need.

I've tried (via email) and will probably try ringing them tomorrow. No luck yet though!

There is a company that makes beach buggies in the US and they've just started putting Subaru engines in their vehicles. Emailed them too, but no reply yet!
