Default md321t and maf

hi, can anyone see or have heard of any issues with running this turbo on the standard maf (94 wrx).

can't see any issues myself but a mate of mine is having a few running probs at the mo and am wondering whether it could be down to the setup???

cheers

Do you ?

Funny that cos I could swear I have the original maf, the original ecu and got 545/545 on recent 22b dyno day.

Dynamix is pulling your leg, he's got a new age with a later MAF.

It might be possible to fit the MAF in a bigger housing to get around the flow limit, but do some searches on methods first

My classic has got a 90mm housing and I´m using a Q45 MAF, but had some strange readings of 5.05V (5.1V maximum) on track at Sunday.
But that was just for less than a moment and checkengine came up for a second (limit setting of the Power FC).
I read on the log that it was on too much fuel 9.8AFR and 5.05V MAF.
That´s why I asked!

I have just had a Simtek fitted and binned my MAF completely.

A stock 94 MAF will max out long before the 400+bhp the T is capable of.
He can either upgrade to the 22b/STi4 90mm MAF and scale for it or go mafless.

Agreed but the sweeping statement I was remarking on is one of those things that then starts to become to recognised norm around here with people quoting it without understanding what they are saying.

cheers mate!

the reason I'm asking is my mate just needs to get the car on the road for transport.......so has re-fitted the standard ecu, injectors, maf back in but has idling problems.
doubt he'll be running it at much over a bar of boost, untill he has the time/funds to get it up and running properly.
