Hi

I am thinking of upgrading to one of these,but would like some info on them and other people's experiences with them.

log on to WR1oc.co.uk and ask jd his was the first newage to be mapped with the simtec. getting mine done at the mo.

I had a Simtek early on and was so impressed with it that I now have a second one on another wagon and have plans for a third one.

Echo the above. The Simtec is a great system packed with lots of features allowing the mapper to get the best results from your car, not to mention the end user perks of anti lag, launch control, shift light, Switchable maps and so on.

How do you control this ecu?ie swap the map,alter the boost?

either via a switch or using the throttle at ignition on*
The contents of the two maps is upto the owner.. you could have two boost levels or two fuel maps etc..

Simon

what about shift light option, does it work off dash light or seperate light is it adjustable like uk newage sti and how much?

The shift signal triggers the engine check light, this then becomes your shift light

Pricing as follows, mapping included.

MY93-MY96 4 plug - £940
MY97-MY98 3 plug - £940
MY99-MY00 3plug (grey) - £1051.62
MY01-MY07 5 plug (inc VVT and TGV) £1233.75
ALS and Launch option - £176.24

All functions listed are included except antilag and Launch control, which is an additional £176.24 on top if the ecu cost

for that fitment (2001) its getting up to the cost of the solaris ecu, which has same features but more proccessing power within the ecu

Still doesnt cover 06 onwards drive by wire throttle units to my knowledge.

no unfortunatly it doesn't.. but will do once sorted.

I believe the bus related stuff is the hold up.. like all the lights or infact every bulb before activated sends a message to the ecu and the ecu says yes turn the sidelights on etc etc..
