Default 3 port boost solenoid

Just fitted one of the above to the car this afternoon. With the engine running you can hear the solenoid clicking rapidly. Is this supposed to happen? Or is it just because it needs remapped?

Which 3-port?

Is it mounted on rubbers like the std 2-port?

When you say ticking with the engine running, is this a cold engine at say 1200-1500rpm or a hot engine at 700-800rpm?

Its the perrin 3 port solenoid. Nope it is mounted directly onto the bracket where the old one would go but not on with the rubbers. Just using the nuts and bolts supplied with the kit to fit it.
As soon as you start the engine you can hear the solenoid clicking rapidly just wondered if this was due to the fact it aint been mapped yet or is there something not right?

im pretty sure you cant just swap a 2 port for a 3 port as they read different so will need to be mapped

Does it tick at idle when the engine is hot?

You can hear it because it is solidly mounted to the strut tower and I suspect the engine is cold and revving high enough for the ECU to be driving it.

i have one of these fitted,it does click a little when u rev it up(i have rubber mounted mine), just pipe in the actuator to the front of the turbo so u just run actuator pressure and get the mapper to pipe it in.take the instructions along too.

You need to fit rubber washers m8 to stop the ticking. Same thing happened to me when I fitted mine. Defo needs a re-map too.
