Default VIN plates

Hi

I had a look at an Impreza WRX RA today, but the VIN plate looks like it has either been moved or refitted.

The rivets do not fit the wholes and you can clearly see where the originals would have been.

What I need to know is, is there some where else on the car I can check for the applied model number to make sure sure it is what it says it is?

The car was imported last year and the import docs rate it as a class B car, so there is not a lot of history I can check.

tbh mate if it has been messed with don't buy it imo.
there are plenty out there so i would look somewhere else.

as for your question i don't think there is anywhere else on the car that will identify it (i may be wrong though)
