I bought a 1998 GT555 a few years ago. I have checked the VIN number on the log book and it reads as follows:
JF1GC8KD3WG........

My problem lies with the 7th and 8th Digits of the VIN...as far as I can tell the 7th and 8th digits should be numbers and not letters, i.e the "KD" should be two numbers.

Can anyone tell me if this is the case or not? I have checked a number of sites over the www and can only find cases where the 7th and 8th digits of the VIN are numbers.
