Default decat downpipe

I recentley bought a decat downpipe off KLR16V who was a very helpful man indeed. Just wanted to say how much of difference i have noticed since fitting it. I also already had fitted a Blitz HUR spec exhaust system so the car is fully decatted now. Turbo spool up is quicker now and you can hear it spooling alot more. Interestingly full boost pressure hasnt increased or started to spike which is good as so many people go on about needing a remap on here, although mine is a uk car not an import maybe with a uk car having lower power levels a decat on a uk model isnt an issue? Not getting many pops or bangs though this must be sorted out lol. All in all very impressed though!!

Hi, I've got a '99 uk turbo. I'm thinking about getting a de-cat down pipe. I've got a prodrive back box and a magnex decat centre section already. Did you fit it yourself?? Is it a difficult job to do? Would there be much of a difference? I'm slowly tuning her up. From what i've read on here that is the next thing in need before getting a remap.

Any help would be great, cheers

Marc

it took me about 4 hours, i would have been alot quicker but i had a nut that went solid on me halfway off the stud. I was lucky though because it pulled the stud out of the turbo as oppose to snapping!! i would reccomend a decat downpipe
