You can have pops and bangs and things like that mapped in: Although you can have that done with pretty much any remap.

I have an Apexi ecu as I have a 98 car. All I can say is that it runs perfectly. Before I had it mapped, the car would be lumpy on tickover. Now it's perfect...you would think the engine was new, and my car's done 70000 miles now!

I have a Hayward & Scott stainless decat system, Induction kit(cheapo thing that was on the car already), and walbro 255 fuel pump. The Apexi is mapped for those mods with V power, and I'm probably in the region of 260-270bhp. It peaked before the mapping at 250bhp, but the difference is like day and night. It's so responsive, and pulls so well throughout the whole rev-range, that it really does prove that peak figures don't mean much.

It can control your engine.

It's map-able.

Me being the great un washed(not mapped) as it were, it's not really my place to say, but; there are far more capable ECU's out there now.

The Apexi power FC is a very capable unit for the Price but you won’t find too many tricks under the hood. The pops and bangs can be mapped into any writable ECU. You won’t find antilag or launch control for that you will have to look towards the Simtek.

With the Power FC you also have the added option of the hand commander which enables the driver to monitor various functions of the engine.

if you have the hand commander you can have 4 boost set points, i have 0.7 (good for the motorway) 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 as set points. its great you can change them even as you are driving around. i use the commander to monitor as well, knock link, engine temp, boost (in bar) and rpm, also records the highest reached point. the apexi with a good remap makes your car more economical as well.

JGM... www.jollygreenmonster.co.uk

He'll travel to you - you just pay extra for his fuel . Why not contact him to find out when he's next in your area and arrange for the mapping then, to save on those fuel costs?

He mapped my Apexi and am loving the performance/driving experience... Plus the peace of mind/smugness, lol, that your motor/mods have been mapped perfectly.
