Default Boost solenoid

I have some hesitation when on part throttle, am i right in thinking that when lifing off you're meant to hear the boost solenoid clicking?

I have a simtek fitted if that helps, but i don't hear the solenoid doing anything, i have all new coilpacks and pfr7b plugs gapped to 0.7mm and ive replaced the ecu water temp sensor so it can't be an ignition problem.

Ive blasted the piping with carb cleaner to see if that helps.

Can anyone help?

If you connect the reset wires under the dash and turn on the ignition the BCS should tick/click continuously, you will never hear it from inside whilst driving

I'll probably just end up buying one from ebay.

Cheers.
