I got mine from Zen when they fitted my new ecu. £60+vat fitted. Most tuners have them, let them fit it when you get the new ecu.

Polarperformace chip drops straight in on a 95 car. It works quite well.

It costs less than £200

ive already got the polar performance chip which is excellent but looking to go beyond this in the near future & dont think you can go above 1.1 bar on the early classics without upgrading to the later classic map sensor

You're right, the 92-96 one is only rated at 2.2bar absolute (1.2bar relative), hence you can only run a max of 1.1bar before the fuel cut is reached at 1.2bar.

The v.3/4 MY97/98 ones are rated at 2.5 absolute (1.5bar relative), so you'll be able to run up to 1.4bar with an appropriate mappable ECU e.g. the ESL live daughterboard option (in effect, the mappable version of your PP chip).

As mentioned, I'm sure the tuner who you eventually decide to get the ECU/map from in the future will stock them, so you can get it fitted all in one go. Or, why not simply ask people breaking v.3/4s (on SN and eBay) and see if you can get one that way (and no doubt cheaper to boot)?

FTR, does anyone know what the MY99/00 MAP sensor is arted at? Is it the same as the MY97/98?
