Default ecu

hi, one of my mates has a Z4 sti ecu he might be selling, will this work on my WRX and will it make any differance in power? any help welcome.

z4 is not a STI ecu it's from a late 94-96 wrx rated at 260ps it will work in your 94wrx but may be worth checking under the passenger footwell to see what ecu you have (it's under a kickplate) as you could have one already

its a c2 ecu on my wrx, is that about the same bhp? which one,s are sti? and would they make any improvment?

i think you mean 2c but yes it will be an improvement as yours is rated at 240ps the z4 has a better fuelling map holds boost better i think it does seem to in my car anyway.
The 6k is off a v2 STI runs slightly more boost and is possibly the best standard ecu to fit.
all depends what more you want to do the car as a remappable option is always the best imo.

I have a mapped 6K and i assure you it is very good. But you may need a TD05 turbo (sti type) to make the most of it.

td05 is what he should have as he has an early WRX.
