What up-pipe for bugeye WRX?
We want to decat the up-pipe and have been told a classic up-pipe doesnt have a cat in and should fit. Anyone had any experience of replacing it?
Quite apart from the power potential, etc, it's defo worth doing for peace of mind anyway... Obviously, the up-pipe is immediately upstream to the turbo, so should the cat - or even the Lambda's tip - break up, then it's goodbye exhaust turbine (possibly housing too)!!!...

not sure if the up-pipes are the same on the newages and classics, i thought they were different tbh. Hayward and Scott list them separately on their site.....
I'd recommend getting a newage STI up pipe - they're catless, cheaper than going for a new aftermarket one too. I got one, removed the headshields and wrapped it - works great
