I have a WRX imported from Holland. I have confirmation that the pan european warranty is for 3 years, but am told that this is provided by Subaru Holland and so I must have the car serviced at 12500km or 7500m, and not at 10000m as per Subaru GB. There is no mention in the warranty book of a 1000m oil change, so I guess I don't need that to keep the warranty; but should I have it done anyway, as being better for the long life of the engine?
Any comments gratefully received.

Erik

More metal and other bad gunk will be in the oil after running in than at any other time of it's life.

IMHO its a good idea to change oil a 1000. Depends on whether you mind paying or not!
