Only 1 cat on an early import and that is in the downpipe.

Best to get a 3'' bore T304 grade stainless steel one (most are). Then in order from bad to best...

Bad... Outlet port for turbine only, with wastegate area blanked off (as per OEM cat d/p). This is very restrictive for the wastegate gas trying to get out, as it has to effectively go through two 90deg turns, before entering the port for the turbine's gas.

Good...
Large bellmouth, where the turbine and wastegate dump into the large common open area of the bellmouth. This can create stalling turbulence of the escaping gas, as the wastegate gas immediately joins the turbine gas.

Best... Dedicated turbine and wastegate twin-port design, where the wastegate has its dedicated smaller port leading into long tubing which joins the main pipe about a foot down. This sepertion of the turbine and wastegate is the least restrictive design, as the two gas streams are kept apart, way after their immediate exit from the turbo. Magnex's Classc d/p is of this design, see here...

(I have a £60 second hand one of these)

Yes, if you have the Nur Spec R system, it has 3'' centre and backbox. But it still has an OEM 2 3/8'' flange so as to suit most d/p's. The Magnex downpipe has an OEM flange, so will mate with your Nur Spec R's flange - just use a std 'donut' cone wire wool gasket, and it'll mate up.
