Default how do i get rid of that annoying noise....

....when you leave your keys in the ignition and open the drivers door? is it just a case of removing a fuse or removing a sensor? its not like i'm gonna leave the keys in the car, so i don't need a squeeling in my ears to remind me. thanks in advance for any help.

I'm with you on this... Was working on my car this afty and that noise was driving me bandy, lol.

Not absolutely certain, but normally these warnings are by way of a dedicated relay. I think it's just a case of locating said relay and simply removing it from it's socket

dead easy. disconnect the multiplug under the drivers side of the dash which runs to the ignition barrel. if you need to remove the steering nacell and follow the harness back from the ignition barell to the multiplug.

Cool. Surely though, this multiplug powers other stuff, no?

2 small wires??????? i took my panel off to reveal spaghetti junction! about 6 multiplugs aren't even connected and i can't see just 2 wires into a multi plug. the only 2 wires i can find are a purple and grey one, would it be these? bit concerned to see so many wires not connected?!

Do some of the wires go to 2 green and 2 black unconnected connectors? If so, then this is normal - when they are connected in a certain way, they either check for, or clear, error codes, for when the CEL stays on.

Also, mike did say the barrel (ignition barrel), so are you sure you haven't overlooked this
