Hi i have one new and one old turbo, both have a very small amount of play side ways is this normal, im thinking it depends on what type of bearing they use ,ie a rollerbearing i would have thought would have no play, other types would need clearence between bearing and shaft for oil. anybody help out thanks.

The play is normal (as long as the wheel does not make contact with the housing).
