Did MY97/98 JDM Sti have piston slap too?

Did the jdm sti have the same problem in them years as the UK Turbo model?

Yes all 97/98 year cars could suffer with piston slap

I thought maybe the different pistions would have made a difference on the jdm's, for some reason I only ever hear about UK turbo ones getting it. Thanks for your reply

My MY97 STI has a little but only when the weather is cold disappears as soon as it warms up.
Think is very common especially on STIs having forged pistons
