I've got a 2003 STI and one of the power steering hoses (I think it's the return from the rack to the pump) has developed a small split - this means that when I go onto hard lock, power steering fluids pisses out onto the back of the bulkhead.

My local Subaru stealer reckons I have to have the whole pipe assembly changed (including all the metal pipework) and that it's going to cost £273 plus VAT plus labour Has anyone else had this problem and if so, did you find a cheaper way round it?
