Default rebuild

How hard would it be to do a rebuild. Im thinking of buying a complete 2.5 block and am looking info on whether it is adviseable for a novice to build the engine up, ie. take parts from my current engine and fitting to new block.

Ive not done much except the ususal like oil changes and fitting headers exhausts etc.

All info is appreciated.

thanks

Drew

not done clutches or anything myself like that but would love to have ago at it. Is there anything that i should look out for? or is everything just a straight swap. My car is a my93 wrx and would be possible looking to buy a built 2.5 short block.

As engines go,it's not that bad to work on once it's out, also easy to remove.
I did exactly what your looking at on my last scoob, first time i'd done any serious work on one,but have worked on various other cars including engine swops.
You'll need an engine stand, then it's a pretty easy swop everything over job.

Give it go!
