i have a v3 sti classic, it was standard when i got it but since then i have fitted a full decat exhaust, panel filter, walbro fuel pump and big service plugs belts etc, thinking of popping down the road to see andy forrest to get an apexi fc and commander fitted and mapped, what sort of gains would i get and is it worth the money? thanks.

 

Yes well worth it..

I did one last month with decat, induction, fmic and fuel pump and it made 339bhp/300lb..

Without the fmic you should be looking at anywhere from 300 to 325ish, they vary slightly.. well worth it both is power and torque and smoothness and useability of the power etc..

yes and on surrey rr's dyno dynamics.. it was a "good" car.. and was at 1.35bar

Good stuff.....My VF23 will be replaced with a VF35 and 550's in time for when you come and map the car November 6th...if i get that kind of result ill be happy man...

 

Personnely I would spend a bit extra and get the simtec as everything I have read about it, it offers more than the apexi (btw I used to run the power fc on my car so I am not slating it) - A remap though is definately well worth it, it makes the car how it should have been out of the box
