Default help oil

Just bought some Castrol edge sport fully synthetic 0w-40 for topping up my 96 wrx import is this the correct oil?

What do you guys use

I think it's advisable to use fully Ester brands such as Millers, Silkolene, Motul, etc.

I don't think it's ideal having the 'cold' viscosity as low (thin) as 0W in a turbo car... Ideally 10W-40 or 15w-40... Or if you do trackdays/drive very hard regularly, then a bit more (thicker) 'hot' viscosity is required e.g. 10W-60 or 15W-60.

For the record, I get mine serviced at Zen and they use Millers, either 10W-40 or 10W-60. I opt for the slightly dearer 10W-60 for peace of mind.

You have opened a can of worms fella as everybody pretty much has their own opinion on this. Do a search and you will find many conflicting arguments!

The advice above by joz is good though.

For the record, I use Motul V300 15/50 in mine.
