FCD, fuel cut lift, setting below target boost
Hi,
Before anyone mentions I do know about the dangers of removing fuel cuts etc.
Anyway I have been reading and somewhere someone mentions setting the bottom limit of fuel cut to lower than the target boost. This way the ECU tries to up the boost to reach target boost. (i.e. removes the need for upping the boost with a manual/electronics controller) THen the upper limit can still be used to get your fuel cut etc.
Has anyone tried this on a Scoob? Using select monitor i can see that the ecu has increased the duty cycle on mine just to reach target boost, so they do learn, and just wondering whether this theory would work?
I started making a boost controller then thought this might be an easier method only having to cut one wire and leaving the ECU to still control the wastegate actuator.
