Default Rattle under acceleration

Just wondering i have the symptoms listed in the title in that when accelerating there appears to be some form of rattle in the engine area. The dealer found the cause to be the turbo up pipe shields. They have suggested a new turbo up pipe to solve the problem. Does this make sense? And how much would a turbo up pipe roughly cost, would a std version be up to the job. The car is in standard form - STI 04 UK Spec.

Likely to be the heat shield welds have corroded and its rattling around.
The choice is either a brand new standard up-pipe (£200?) or have the heat shields on the old one removed and heat wrap added.
Given the dealership labour charges, it would be worth while finding a nearby Subaru specialist to give another quote for the work.

Was quoted around £250 to replace the up-pipe from a dealer. How does this sound?
