Top Mount Intercooler Removal
I've got a '99 uk turbo. My clutch pedal is sticking down about 2 inches when I change gear. I've read the relevant threads about this. I can't find anything about how to remove the intercooler is there anything I need to know??
From what i've read it needs to be removed so you can access the bleed valve for the clutch master cylinder, or to see if the spring is still intact.
I'm pretty new to working on a scooby engine so any help would be greatly appreciated!

TIP] take strut brace off first if you have one (dont jack car up with this off ) and when putting intercooler it back on, i always squirt carb cleaner on the hoses to give me a fighting chance otherwise it can be a real back breaker leaning into the bay and trying to push it on. Best to align the turbo pipe first then the painful inlet manifold pipe with gentle coaxing from a flat head. Sometimes it take 2 minutes others a little longer.
So many uses for carb cleaner

i have a 92 wrx with the plastic piping for the intercooler when im putting my intercooler back on i boil the kettel and pore it over the plastic piping just to make it that bit easier to get the turbo pipe back on
