map sensor
I have a 1995 wrx, what I want to know is does it have a map sensor if it doesnt how hard is it to put 1 in? and also how hard to wire up to an apexi power fc? as i use 1 of the as well

Check you havn't got the later sensor already,as they often get fitted with the power fc. As said,you'll need to get the ecu mapped for the new sensor,so it'll cost £60+ vat,plus the remap cost.

the powerfc doesn't work properly with the later sensor as the scaling is wrong. the monitored boost is around 0.6bar lower than the actual boost if you wire in a newer map sensor..
it will work with the current map sensor to 1bar and a little beyond..
to go beyond that you need a boost control kit map sensor or a boost controller.
You really need it mapped as the standard map is fairly aggressive on the ignition timing..

not easily no.. there used to be a MAFSIM available but with the cost of MAP based ecu's like SimTek there is no point adding the extra hassle..
