Hi,
i'm new on here, my name is Mitja and i'm from Slovenia Currently i own a 300hp S13 which i'm slowly but surely going to sell (at least i hope i will, for a decent amount ).

Anyway i'm hoping my next car to be a 02 bugeye STI or a 03 STI and i have some basic questions about the difference, mostly engine wise. So here goes (i've searched for a bit, but haven't found anything useful ):

a) what turbos are stock for these two models, what boost are they on stock and to what HP can they be pushed safely (if they have different turbos)?
b) are there any engine differences, they both seem to have 265HP?
c) do these cars have launch control as standard like EVO's, or is it only in the ECU but not loaded?
d) what kind of gearboxes to the two cars have, 5sp or 6sp and what kind of HP can it safely take?
e) how much reserve do the standard clutches have?
f) what is needed to get to lets say 330hp?

Well that's about it, thanks in advance for the replies with answers or links pointing me in the right direction

both the same as far as i know.
to get 330bhp
2.5 or 3 " turbo back system
panel filter
uprated fuel pump
remap
personaly i would get the 03sti looks alot better.

Thanks mate, interesting not that much needed for 330hp Yeah i'll try and get a 03, like the front lights better, but a bugeye will be good too

Clutch will take 400 bhp without slipping or launches.... so don't !

P.S. minor cosmetic changes, plus altered front geometry on 03 cars.

Wow 400bhp, that's quite a lot of reserve, i don't think it will be having a rough time
