Default Front Mount Intercooler noise

i have just fitted a front mount to my 96 wagon wrx. On full boost there is a high pitched buzzing (air leak i think)sounds as if its right behind the dash (nr the turbo). but cant seem 2 find the leak. i have had the whole intercooler and pipework off an checked all connections but no luck.

Any help would be appreciated

A few years ago, a guy came to me with an Autobahn FMIC that whistled under higher boost.
A day later, after removing the core we found a pin ***** in the aluminium weld on the core end tank. I have come across this several times since, once on Alan Bells car when we ended up scrapping the core from memory.
It can be difficult to find the actual leak and with the core we have ended up with a water bath and compressed air line.

best bet is get a mate to rev the car as u run ur hands over the pipework, you should feel or hear a change in tone when ur hands run over the hole,
To check joints get a small water sprayer and a bit of washing up liquid spray it round the joints and you should see bubbles.

I had a noise that sounded like a hair dryer coming from by engine bay.
It was the small hose connected to the top of the inlet manifold, it had gone hard and under pressure wound slip off the connecting metal pipe.

While mapping on a car with a top mount a couple of weeks ago we came across a hoover type noise. The car had a top mount and air was escaping from under the jubilee clip connecting the turbo compressor outlet to the intercooler.

That used to happen all the time on my old R5 GT turbo. Renault, in their infinite wisdom, made the turbo-to-IC hose marginally too short and - regardless of how much I tightened the jubillee clip beyond the nozzle's raised lip - the boost used to force the hose off from the compressor outlet time and time again. Used to drive me apoplectic ... especially in the middle of a duel
