Can anyone help with the above problems.
I have a 98 Typr R and the power steering is just leaking oil like there was no tomorrow. As fast as I can put it in it comes out.

I realise i need to reair it but need to use the car for the next 3 days before I can get it serviced.

Is there anything I can do to slow the leak and be able to use for now.

Many thanks in anticipation.
J.

??
Just disconnect the power steering pump belt and drive the car without the power assist.

if you take the belt off you will have no alternator either and you would need to be schwarzenegger to turn the steering as well!

A 678d belt from Halfords for a fiver will run the alternator.

No assist is ok after a while, you build the muscle
If you drain the oil it gets easier.
Much more feel for what the front end is doing too
