How easy is it to change the engine temperature sensor?
Is it a garage job or can i do it?

Do you mean coolant temp sensor?

Under the bend of my strut brace there is a large black hose under that is the sensor located in the block (it's an orangey brown colour)
If so it's about 10 mins to change it

It's not quite a 10 min job if you still have the original induction system fitted, which needs to be removed to get access.
The sensor is quite difficult to get at becuase it's tucked under the inlet manifold - it is the brown sensor in the second photo.

When you unplug it, be prepared for some coolant to spill out onto the top of the engine. Try not to drop the replacement while attempting to fit it, otherwise you'll spend half an hour scratching around trying to find it again! Straightforward job, but fiddly!
