Default Wrx problem

Hi guys

Got a little problem, i recently had my car at a rolling road day and it only made 253bhp 254lb/ft which i was bit disapointed bout as was hoping for bit more, the car is 95 wrx with decat panel filter and polar performance chip, i've added a copy of graph so you can see it but looks weird to me as it is only making 100bhp at bout 4500rpm, got told to have fueling checked as may be over fuelling which im gonna try sort this week, but yesterday i started car and gave the car a lil blip of throttle and she went to die tried again and it did the same, i unplugged maf and she stalled straight away have no cel come on, then when driving i put my foot down in second got to bout bar of boost and she splutted and popped from exhaust, wasnt violent like fuel cut as had that b4, it did the same in 3rd aswell, also she seems to have used a more fuel than usually as well.

Any ideas? Coil packs?

Cheers brad

graph dont look weird it looks really really wierd......

looks like you had no boost till 4800rpm then suddenly it hits.....

as for your dilema.... pull your packs and your plugs and look at them sounds like your getting massive misfire, plugs or packs......

even though im gonna say it again that graph is way way way weird....

very poor as my 93 wrx with z4 ecu (and decat) makes that.

I would speak to Scott T as you've bought one of his chips to see what he says

Where was that graph done? Ive hade one done recently that looks just like that at a rr day. I think you were there? The runs were a little unusual to some othere days ive been to. Mine didnt show boost either till nearly 5k. Yet on the road i have full boost at 3500rpm. I would take that graph with a pinch of salt. Do you see boost earlier on the road?

I have done mate he said the graph was rubbish and should be seeing more than that with the boost the car runs, he said i should get fuelin checked as rolling road didnt show that. and said should just ignore that graph and get second opinion

Yea i was mate it was at perfect touch, yea mine hits full boost bout 3500rpm aswell on road so dunno what was goin on with the rolling road and why they didnt check fueling. think i'll just ignore the graph and just get misfire sorted then get fueling checked

Also they were running top mount cars with the bonnets open and air just flowing over the top which i dont think is good practise

could be coil packs, mine had that prob before, but could be a number of other things as well. worth getting it checked out.

IIRC top mount bonnet down, Front mount, bonnet up .
