hi chaps,

have had a problem with my idle control solenoid valve on an 05 sti ppp. Subaru have quoted over 400 quid to change it. Is this something that can be bought and changed fairly easily or am I letting myself in for a nightmare?

Can you get them second hand from breakers yard? or could I clean up the one I've got?

Your help would be appreciated,

2 screws and a wiring plug then all you need to do is adjust it till car idles correctly. they rotate about 5 degrees to adjust idle.

its right on top of the inlet manifold on the right hand side of the throttle body.

hope this helps

(try cleaning it with carb cleaner first)

same apend 2 my 04sti. they jus reset the ecu. and itz neva been faulty since.
