Default Starting problems

I've fitting my rebuilt engine but it want start. it will turn over but not fire. But if I remove the No.1 coil pack and spark plug it will fire and run for a very short time then die. Why is this?

is there any possibility that you have
a, crossed the coil pack wires over?
b, crossed the injector wire over?
c, crossed the injector wires and coil pack wires over?

i would check all of these first.

Yes, I've checked the above. And tried both the injectors and the coil pack the wrong way, just to prove the point

Thank for your reply

Big thanks to one of the employees of Dave Coe that took the time to come to the house and point out my silly mistake .

And my silly mistake was I had the inlet and outlet cams the wrong way
