Default Sti V5 400bhp mods.

I'm thinking of getting a classic Sti running this spec at 340bhp

STI V5

Graham Goode VF29 Hybrid Turbo
3" HKS Super Dragger exhaust system
Decat downpipe
255 walbro fuel pump
Uprated Conrods and Bolts
Graham Goode induction kit
ECU TEK Remap
Alloy Rad
Light Weight Flywheel
HKS bov

The engine has been rebuilt and I'd like to take it to 400bhp but what turbo would I need? I'm thinking Andy Forrest TD05 20g? Or do any of the VF series turbo's make 400bhp with supporting mods?
I know I'd need 550's or 740's and maybe an uprated FPR too. Also, at what area do the MAF's fail at? Is it more likely to fail at flat out runs (I dont do any) or 30-120mph on full boost ( I do a lot )

you need the md321h for 400bhp form lateral performance
or the md321T for over 400bhp
also a front mount intercooler
550s for 400 or go 740s for future mods
an after market ecu is good as well (takes away the maf thing , so no worries there )

You Would need the following to get close to or over 400bhp with and sti 5, good starting base though

20G or MD321H
550cc injectors
Adjustable fpr
Ported or tubular manifold with matching up pipe
Hybrid front mount
Apexi boost controller

No VF series turbo will make 400bhp on straight petrol, the maf does not fail at a given point but more from vibration or movement and in regards to blowing it with a front mount intercooler neither type of driving is an issue

321H
20G wont make this in real terms

740's better option if you want to go for mods in future and dont want to have to change everything again

I have sti5........ myself. I'm running more power than this with MD321S, water injection, 5 Litres of Methanol and NF Booster. I have loads of other mods......... Front mount is essential at 400bhp

After market exhaust manifold will help the breathing also.....

Up to 450bhp fairly easy to achieve - but you'd need a 321T (it spools up slower but not that much slowly)

Over 450bhp very much a function of mods/Turbo choice and deep pockets
