Default induction kit

hi, i have a hks induction kit on my scoob which i had put on, even though it sounds nice the car seems to be slower when the car has warmed up than when i had the standard air box on it.Is it worth going back to standard and getting a decent panel filter, or something else? any suggestions please . thanks
