Just got a Decat from somebody on this forum for my97 classic, measured it up and it is about 18inches too short? Anybody got any ideas as im not sure if its the decat thats wrong or the system on the car?

is it a downpipe or centre section?

it should be the same as the standard exhaust if its 18" shorter i think it must be for different model then yours

Its the centre section mate, been looking on various sites and they seem to be a universal fitting for all classic shapes?

Took a piccy but think i got to the bottom of it. I have been looking at various systems and they all seem to have quite a long straight from the silencer flange to the first bend about 14 inches, whereas my backbox is only a couple of inches on this straight, this will explain it. So i am thining there has been some kind of custom system fitted in Japan. Just need to get a backbox now and i should be ok.
