Default Is the EJ22T oil pump any different?.

Did Subaru design the EJ22T oil pump with greater flow capacity over other 10mm oil pumps to enable the use of oil squirters?.

IIRC the EJ22T oil pump gears are 12mm,so are larger but the EJ20 CDB came with a 10mm gear set.
The bore squirter's have a check valve built into them and only work once the oil pressure exceeds 57psi - this is to ensure you get full oil pressure to the mains and big ends on start up.
