Unhappy classic subaru burble rumble? i want to rumble :(

Hello,

i have just baught a 95 WRX Japanese import... it has a full Regu decat exhaust system. It has no burlble.... its not really noisy. why is it that all the subaru's that i hear sound so evil with that nice sexy rumble sound?

what would i need to do to get that rumble sound?

someone told me if i get unqual length manifold headers that it would give me the rumble, is this true?

thanks, mike.

Hi

Yes thats right, i would imagine it has equal length headers fitted, get unequal and you are in business.

Unless the car has been modified, you should already have unequal length headers, you may just need a louder backbox.

It is the unequal length headers that are responsible for the rumble, yes, so the first step is to confirm whether yours has indeed had aftermarket equal length headers fitted.
